Happy Birthday Kristen!

We had Kristen's birthday party last night at my house and had a blast! Of course I had to get her some Jodi Picoult books -- which she is hooked on now too, thanks to me! I made a pot roast, and we had mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, honey carrots.....and tons of other food.

Tonight we're having a birthday party for Karen at Adam's parent's house. September is a busy month! I'm off to Hallmark right now for a last minute gift, and I still have to make her a card. Eeek! :)

World Card Making Day Preview!

I'm baaaaack! Whew, looks like I haven't posted for about three weeks! I have been busy with work, and also busy putting all these stamps together. There seems to be a never ending supply of that when you become a demonstrator! :) I am loving it so far, though.
For those of you coming to my class on October 6th, here is a sneak peek of 2 of the cards we'll be making. The one on the left is a Halloween card using the Spooky Skyline jumbo wheel and Home is where the Haunt is set. The card on the right is a Thanksgiving card (sentiment on the inside) using Year after Year and the flourish from Season of Joy. I'm super excited about this class -- it should be a lot of fun!
Well, that's it for now. We have some friends coming over for dinner tonight so I've got to get going on that. Bye for now!

It just makes me happy!

Organization is just one of those things that makes me happy. I love these file tabs. If you want to know who to buy them from on Ebay, leave me a comment with your email address and I'll let you know. I also purchased ink pad labels from her and a cardstock ring with all the colors! Very reasonable prices, too! I got this file box on the cheap at Staples, $10 and $5 for the folders. What a bargain!

Kind of a lazy day....

Well, I'm dog sitting today......Adam and his parents are in Chicago for the Iowa game, so I volunteered to watch KC, my in-law's dog. I have to say that it has gone a lot better today than I thought it would! My beagle Hunter isn't always the most gracious host, and he gets a little territorial, but everything worked out well. Thank God for our fenced-in backyard! And squeaky toys!

I have been mostly lazy....since I worked til midnight last night, but I did get some things done today....including getting all my file folders ready for my SU cardstock. Oh, by the way, my starter kit is supposed to show up on Tuesday! I don't know if I can wait that long! :) I bought some SU colored filetabs from a lady on Ebay, so I'll post a pic of that in a little bit.

Anyway, about this card, I saw it on the SU demo website, and thought to myself, wow, I think I have everything to make that card! With a few minor adjustments, of course.
