New Gina K!

I ordered 3 sets from Gina K, so of course I got the new Spring Blooms set for free! Yay! I just love free rubber... :)

The base of this card is a 5 1/4" square chocolate chip, layered with cameo coral and a piece of Bo-Bunny patterned paper (polka-dots). Corners are punched with the ticket corner punch. The top panel is a piece of chocolate chip with a scalloped border made using the corner rounder punch. I used the 1/8" hole punch to embellish the scallops. The coral colored polka dotted paper is also Bo-Bunny, as is the double sided polka-dotted grosgrain ribbon. The flower was stamped with Adirondack pitch black ink and heat set; colored in with Copics. The background was sponged with pretty in pink. Sentiment is mounted under a piece of Hodgepodge Hardware from the SU occasions mini.

One of a Kind

I went to a Copic marker class at Cottage Corner and this little cutie is one of the images we practiced on. I believe she is a Whipper Snapper stamp.

The base of this card is Bashful Blue, layered with Wild Wasabi, then a piece of Cosmo Cricket DP. I stamped that with the Sanded BG stamp in Cameo Coral ink. The edges are paper pierced. The little girl and layer behind are cut out with Nestabilities dies. I used the slot punch and embellished with some white taffeta and celery grosgrain ribbon.

The strip of patterned paper is the other side of the Cosmo Cricket, mounted on Wild Wasabi. Sentiment is from One of a Kind, stamped with Cameo Coral and mounted behind the silver Hodgepodge Hardware. Flowers are primas, embellished with buttons.

I just returned from a 10 hour crop at my LSS so I will have lots of pages to share with you tomorrow! Hubby is going golfing in the morning, so hopefully I will have time to upload some. :)

Wish BIG

In the previous post, I told you guys about how I received an awesome card from Pam Bassett in the MFT swap I was in over on SCS. I cased her card, so I felt I needed to show it here. :) Maybe sometime this week I'll post all of the MFT cards, they were all great!
I also just realized that I forgot to post this card last week when I made it. This birthday elephant stamp is by Whipper Snapper and sentiment is by Penny Black. This was my Mother-in-law's birthday card. :) Cardstock is Groovy Guava and Wild Wasabi. Paper is from Afternoon Tea pack by SU. Ribbon is 5/8" grosgrain in Chocolate Chip. I also used the 1 3/8"circle punch, scalloped circle punch, and tag corner punch.

I am so addicted.....

To Whipper Snapper stamps! They are so cute and fun to color. :) I spent all last night coloring different images -- I was inspired after going to a Copic marker class at my LSS - www.cottagecorner.net. This cute little bunny was one of the images we used to practice with yesterday, so I don't own this stamp --- yet. Ha!

When I got home, I trimmed him up and sponged the background with So Saffron ink and a sponge dauber. All of the corners are punched with the ticket corner punch. Cardstock colors used are Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Pretty in Pink, and Sage Shadow. Pink brads are by Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby. The patterned paper is from the Spring Fling pack by Stampin' Up. Ribbon is by BoBunny and is double sided polka-dotted grosgrain. The jeweled flowers are Hero Arts.

This sketch was inspired by a card I recieved in the MFT swap from 4hounds (Pam Bassett). She does awesome work! There's a link to her blog on the left side of my page. Anyway, the card I got from her was just gorgeous! I will try and post a picture of it later today. That swap also inspired me to get some new stamps from MFT....so I will be ordering more sometime soon. :)

I went to a crop on Friday night, and didn't bring my scrapbooking supplies, so I got a ton of cards made! I will try and post those later tonight as well. Adam should be going to bed at a decent time and I don't have to work in the morning, so I can stay up and play. :)

We're off to see the movie '10,000 B.C.' today and eat dinner at Granite City. I want to see that movie in the theatre because it looks like it has awesome effects!

I have been eyeing some of the new Cuttlebug folders -- especially the Swiss Dots one -- and ordered them from www.eclecticpaperie.com last week. They arrived yesterday, woohoo!
The kind ladies also sent me some complimentary images to color -- which I promptly did and made the card below. :)
This image from Stampendous is just the cutest! This is a thank-you card for my Grandma; she made me some potato salad last week....yummmm. Nobody makes it like her. :)

So Cool...

I ordered this set from SU with my last order and I'm loving it. :) It has such a young feel and will be great for cards for kids and teens.

The base of the card is ballet blue, wheeled with the stars wheel and ballet blue ink. Main image is stamped with Pumpkin Pie ink, I also used the Sanded BG stamp. I stamped the main image again in Wild Wasabi and cut the word 'dude' out and mounted it on dimensionals. The panel was mounted on Wild Wasabi and the edge was torn. Ribbon is the new striped grosgrain in pumpkin pie. I punched a large star out of pumpkin pie, and a small star out of ballet blue, put them together with a brad, and mounted on a dimensional.

Some cute new creatures...

I stopped up at Cottage Corner today - www.cottagecorner.net - and picked up a few new Whipper Snapper stamps to add to my collection. I can never resist! This little frog/rabbit was the stamp of the month last month, so I'm surprised they still had this one in stock. He was stamped with Adirondack Pitch Black ink, then heat set and colored with Copic markers. He is mounted on a square of So Saffron cardstock, then punched with the Slot Punch. Base of the card is Pretty in Pink, layered with a square of patterned paper from the Spring Fling pack. Prima flowers, buttons, and pink taffeta ribbon were also used. This card measures 4"x4" for todays Limited Supply Challenge on www.splitcoaststampers.com.
This cute elephant stamp is also Whipper Snapper, and I snagged one of the last ones they had! This guy is actually this month's stamp of the month, so I knew it would go fast. It was also 25% off, and I just HAD to buy it. :)

This card measures 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", or, a full sheet of cardstock folded in half. I have never made one this size before, and it's kind of cool! This size will fit in the large envelopes sold by Stampin' Up.

The base of this card is Groovy Guava, matted with the new Afternoon Tea DP from SU. Elephant is stamped in Adirondack Pitch Black and heat set, then colored with Copic markers. Corners are punched with Tag corner punch, then mounted on guava and Wild Wasabi. Vintage brads are used in the corners. The sentiment is by Penny Black and stamped in Basic Gray ink, then mounted on a Wild Wasabi punched Scalloped Circle, then paper pierced. Ribbon is 5/8" Chocolate Chip grosgrain. This card will be for my mother in law's birthday next week.

As a side note, I have received a lot of e-mails and cards from friends and family about our miscarriage. Thanks to each and every one of you! It means a lot! :)

Monkeying Around

I have been sick with the flu the past few days, but I thought I would share this bright and cheery card with you. I don't think I have ever been hit so hard with this bug! I pretty much felt like dying yesterday, and a little today, too. It's been going around at work, so I knew it was only a matter of time until it would get passed on to me.....ick. :(

This is one of the cards I made to sell down at Endless Ideas (my LSS). Enjoy!

Easter Card Preview

Sorry that I haven't posted in quite a while! :) Here are two of the cards we'll be making at my Easter Card Class on Monday, March 10th. The first uses the set Never-Ending Joy - but this set wouldn't have to be used for just Easter cards. I could see the floral image for sympathy cards as well.
The next card uses the set 'A Good Egg', and I think it's one of my new favorites! The patterned paper is from the Spring Fling paper pack.
