{valentine for daddy♥}

I had already finished making my Valentine to Adam, but I thought I would make him one from Keira too.  Lately I am addicted to Glimmer Mist! This is the Pink Bubblegum color, and I used a Tim Holtz grungeboard sheet to mask my cardstock before I sprayed it.
The base of the card is Kraft cardstock, stamped with the SU Medallion stamp in Creamy Caramel.  I used some Kraft taffeta ribbon, and a Fancy Pants acetate heart that I've had forever! I also used the new tag punch from SU along with that coordinating stamp set.

We may be heading up to IC today to pick up Adam's prescription sunglasses....although I don't have much faith in that since it's almost 10:30 and we still haven't showered yet and are just lounging around in our PJs. :) If not it will be a relaxing day at home and I can get some cards done!

Happy Saturday ;)

{scraproom}

Last week there was a challenge posted over at Challenge Masters to post a picture of where you blog. So I figured while I was at it I would post some pics of my scraproom. I am always interested in seeing other crafter's spaces too! While my room is nothing fancy, it's all mine to do with what I please! :)  Hope you have a great day and rest of the weekend. It's a 3-day one for me! :)
Here is my desk where I sit. Adam put our old computer up here for me last year and I love it! Makes posting photos so much easier than making the trek downstairs. Our house was built in the 1930's, and my scraproom is a small room off our bedroom -- I can only assume it was once used for a nursery. Makes it really convenient to get some quick scrapping in before bedtime :)
I do need to get some more substantial shelving for my Prima flowers and stickles, these are balanced rather precariously.... :)  I picked up this ribbon board at Hobby Lobby and use it mainly for pictures, but there are also other bits of paper - receipts, magazine pages, cards, etc up there too.
Here you can see my sewing machine and Cricut. The sewing machine was a gift from my Grandma -- it's a Viking she got back in the 80's and it's still running strong! It's actually a rather heavy duty machine. I also have my SU inkpads in a wooden holder here, and buttons up on the shelf.
I just have a cheap 5 shelf bookcase for my SU stamps and most of my patterned paper. For my solid cardstock, I have that in a wire shelf I picked up at Hobby Lobby. The poster on the wall was out of one of Ali Edwards' books. And don't forget the iPod speaker! :)
I think the best way to organize punches is in an over the door shoe organizer....as you can see I have too many for my own good :)

If you have a tour of your scraproom on your blog, I would love to see it!

{be my valentine}

I have been slowly but surely working on Valentines.....I want to send out some pictures of Keira and wanted cards to go with them! It is turning out to be a bigger job than I thought -- imagine that! :)  I made this card pretty simple using some Kraft SU cardstock and a fabric piece I picked up at Memories on Fifth. For the life of me, I cannot remember the name, and of course I threw away the packaging. If you know who it's by then please leave a comment! :)

I also got this pink twill there, I believe it's by Hero Arts. My paper crafting idol (and who I would like to craft like when I grow up -- haha) Melissa Phillips, is always using twill on her SCRUMPTIOUS cards. Just check out her blog! Everything is beautiful!

The heart accent is from Making Memories, it came in a Valentine's day embellishment pack.  I also used the SU set Teeny Tiny Wishes for the sentiment.

Today is Superbowl Sunday, and Adam and I are rooting for the Colts. I made Italian beef for dinner and some fried pickles! Yum! Got the little one to bed so hopefully I can work on a few more cards before bed.

Good night!

{sending love}

This may look like a Valentine, but it's actually a birthday card! The inside has a birthday sentiment...this will go to a good family friend for her birthday this week. I made this card for the Sketch Challenge over at Ch{all}enge Masters.  The original sketch was actually for a layout, but I decided to make a card instead.

Thanks for stopping by! Valentine cards to follow this week!

Thanks for looking!
