{blue eyes}

I got the chance last weekend to scrap with a few good friends that I hadn't spent time with in awhile...it was worth the late Saturday night and early Sunday AM sleep-hangover! :) I decided to play along with Jill's sketch challenge over at the October Afternoon blog.

I used mostly Rocket Age on this page, but also a little Thrift Shop and 5 & Dime.

{skech 247 - pencillines}

Good evening! It's time for another sketch at Pencil Lines :)

And here's my take:

I have actually been having a little bit of fun doing 8.5x11 pages - mixing it up a bit ;)

Used my new Echo Park Victoria Gardens line for this one! Love the colors in this. For a complete supply list click here.

And thanks to Francine for featuring my Riverfront layout over at Craft Gossip :)

{a few projects}

I'm up late tonight finishing up a few projects so I thought I'd pop in and share a few things I made this weekend :)

Sometimes I get a little tired of scrapping with all pink & purple....rarely, but it does happen! Fortunately I have two nephews I can make cute little boy things for ;) I made these two chipboard hangers with American Crafts goodies.

Jack's uses the AC Margarita line, along with some chipboard Thickers from my stash.

Eli's uses the AC Peachy Keen collection, along with some of my favorite Pebbles felt clouds :)

I also made a card with some scraps I had lying on my table.

Thanks for stopping by! I've got to get to bed or I will need about 3 gallons of coffee to get me through at work tomorrow ;)

{princess truck}

We bought Keira this ride-on toy for her first birthday and she was a little scared of it. Come her 2nd birthday, we bought her a tricycle. Now she is scared of the tricycle but loves to ride the "princess truck" as she calls it ;) I thought it deserved a page of it's own and wanted to play along with Amy Heller's 'Scrap your Scraps' challenge.

I keep a little pile of patterned paper scraps right by my desk so I can grab a few cute pieces of paper if I need to. I hate throwing away paper I love, even if it's just a little ;)

I am pretty much loving my new Slice and am having a lot of fun cutting stars and butterflies and such for my layouts.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you're staying cool, we have a severe heat advisory in effect through Weds. Yuck.

{color inspiration}

Hi there! Jennifer here, and today I'm being inspired by the colors in a photo to create a layout.

Isn't this a gorgeous photo and color combination? Reminds me of summer, actually ;)

Here is my layout based on these colors:

As you can see, I incorporated the pinks, grays and blue - but I did round out the palette by adding a little yellow as well since there was a touch of it in the actual photos that I used.

 Instead of doing a traditional title, I pulled one of these inspiration cards out of the Melody Ross Artsy Urban collection. Perfect for a page about my daughter's creative side.

I also used a butterfly from the same collection to embellish the top portion of the layout. Can I do a layout without butterflies?? I think not! ;)

The bottom portion of my layout is embellished with a chipboard ticket from the Funhouse line and a chipboard circle from the Soul Food line. So many neat inspirational sayings in that line!

In addition to the supplies I mentioned above, I used patterned papers from the Fun House, Great Outdoors, Material Girls and Homespun Chic lines. Check out scrapbook.com and do a search for 'GCD studios' - they have quite a few products available there!

Before I go, I want to leave you with one more cool tip. Have you heard of the website called Pictalicious? It's an online color palette generator and lets you upload any photo from your computer. I uploaded this picture of my daughter and her friend Aidan:

And here is the color palette that was generated:

Neat, right? Now you can go upload your own photos and pull out the perfect colors of paper to scrap them!

Thanks for stopping by today!

{water baby}

Had fun playing with my newest toy - the Fringed Flower Bigz Die - on this layout. Love the size of that large flower!!

Pretty much used the Margarita line by American Crafts exclusively on this line....lovin the colors! And this photo. I have a layout coming up in the August issue of Cricut Mag that uses this same photo. Hee :)

My two peas order came on Monday and I've been working on a page with the new Floral Lane Pebbles line, the patterned paper has a linen finish and I love it! I also ordered some fun 7Gypsies paper and am planning on doing a layout with that next, along with my new Smash goodies I've been neglecting ;)  Oh and if you have a sec, please like my page on American Craft's FB page so I can win some goodies! Yes, shameless advertising..

I picked up some Lime Twist and Pow cardstock at my LSS today, trying to hold out on both but seeing other uses of it online prevented me!

We have a little girl who's 5 and lives just across our alley from us - she is the youngest of four kids and came over last weekend to play in the pool with Keira. She is very sweet and I'm glad that her and Keira had the chance to play for the afternoon :)

{skech 245 - pencillines}

Time for another sketch at Pencil Lines! Head over to the blog to see all of this week's inspiration. Here's my take:

I had some pictures of Keira helping me water my herbs out on the deck and thought this Bella Blvd paper would go perfect with them!

The alphabet stickers are so cute.

Banner by Pretty Little Studio.

I'm off to count down the days til Friday...a little swimming and some scrapping with good friends is in order this weekend! :)

{easter sunday}

Hi there! I thought I would pop in quick and show you the full layout I made with the new Antique Store line by Pretty Little Studio. Love it!

This line even comes with authentic vintage buttons - so cool.

I love all the bright colors - and that train ticket there on the side may just be one of my new favorite tags ;)

Thanks for stopping by! I have a few more layouts to share later this week ;)

{happy day}

Happy Saturday to you! Keira and I've had a a fun day, Adam was away at a golf tournament, so we went shopping then got ice cream and headed down to the riverfront. There's a huge fountain down there for kids to play in, but Keira was having none of it.

She also got some new shades...Dora of course. haha ;)

Anyway, back to the layout. I used a GCD Studios chipboard star embossed with pink embossing powder I picked up at Michael's yesterday. I am collecting a lot of colors now! Love this technique.

Even though this page was about the 4th of July parade, I didn't want to use the traditional red white & blue, so I changed my pics to black and white.

Thanks for stopping by! Hopefully some more scrapping going on tomorrow ;)

{peek}

I created my first layout with Pretty Little Studio's 'Antique Store' line - and I am in love! This line is all things vintage, but bright and colorful too, which is great for me. Gotta have the color ;) I'll share the whole layout when it's posted on the blog!

I also got a call from Heidi today about the August kit of the month for GCD Studios...you are going to love it! Can't wait to get it and start creating. Watch for details on the next challenge over at the GCD blog - you can have a chance to win it!

In other news, I've been bitten once again by the shopping bug - you know one can never have too many scrappy supplies ;) I filled up my bucket over at Two Peas with these favorites (amongst many more things ;)

Basic Grey's new Out of Print collection.

Cute little raspberry colored mini clothespins.

One of the new Tim Holtz stamps.

Pebbles ribbon.

The new Pebbles Floral Lane collection.

Can't wait for this box to come! ;)
