{summer fun}

Good evening to you! The Scrapbooking Studio has the new Pebbles Line - Fresh Goods - in stock so I snatched some up when I was there a few weeks ago :)

I love the mix of bright colors - and the sticky notes! Too cute.

We had a lot of fun at Adam's company picnic a few weekends ago, and I got a lot of good photos.

Hope you have a great night :)

{sympathy}

I had a friend request a sympathy card, so I made a quick one using some of the new Happy Days by Echo Park.

Hope she likes it! :)

Before I forget - Pretty Little Studio is having a giveaway on the blog, and you could win $100 of product! Make sure you head over there and enter!

{true to form}

My Keira is a strange one. I took her to a place called Monkey Joes a few weeks back (think lots of huge bouncy houses with slides). She was terrified. She was screaming she wanted to to bye-bye as soon as she saw them all. Weird!!

Anyway - thank goodness for the arcade games. She got a bunch of tickets and some cheap prizes and all was well again! :)

I used some new Elle's Studio tags on this layout as well as AC Amy Tangerine and MME Lime Twist.

Have a good day!

{boo!}

Happy weekend to you! The new Too Cute To Spook line by Bella Blvd. is on sale at 2Peas and mine came in the mail this past Thursday. I love this line! The graphics and patterns are so cute. After I made a layout with it I decided to do a few cards while my supplies were out.

Thanks for stopping by! I think Keira and I may take a walk to the park this afternoon. It's nice and sunny but not too hot :)

{some news}

I'm really excited to announce that I'm going to be designing for one of my local scrapbook stores, The Scrapbooking Studio!  The inventory they have there is just spectacular - I am always pleasantly surprised by just how much product they carry. New product too! I went to a crop a few weeks back and made a few layouts. The great thing about cropping there is that you get 15% off your entire purchase the night of the crop! So if you're local (Iowa/Illinois area) definitely check out the Friday night crops.

I was really excited to see the new Amy Tangerine American Crafts line in stock when I got there and snatched about everything up.

They also have new My Mind's Eye in stock as well :)

I also got a chance to use my new OA Boarding Pass.

The space needle rubber stamp is one I actually picked up when we were out in Seattle at a little rubber stamp shop. Finally got a chance to use it!

Every time I look at these photos it makes me want to go back.....really bad! I love the Pacific NW. Adam does too and I think if it weren't for all our family being here we would probably try to find jobs and move ourselves out there :D

Hope you're having a good week so far!

{what a weekend!}

We had a great great weekend and I am tuckered out! Not much relaxing to be had but did a lot of fun things. Went to Adam's company picnic/50th anniversary celebration and Keira got to try cotton candy for the first time.

She loved it, of course ;) Enough to eat two servings!

Hope your weekend was just as great!

{party favors!}

Hi there! Jennifer here, and today I'm going to show you how to make some fun party favors for your guests. Whenever I throw my daughter a birthday party, I always try to have a little something for the guests, to thank them for coming and celebrating with us :)

I made these simple but cute little chocolate dipped Oreo pops. All you do is stick a lollipop stick into the Oreo (make sure it's Double-Stuffed!) and dip it into melted white chocolate. Place on a sheet of waxed paper and before the chocolate sets, decorate it with some sprinkles or candies. Super easy! Just slip them in a sack and tie with ribbon.

I made these for my daughter's first birthday party with a Sesame Street theme, and everyone just loved them - even the adults! :)

Another thing I like to do is make little favor sacks. These can be filled with candy or little toys for the kiddos :) Just pick up some small sacks from the party supply store and customize your own tag to clip on the front.

To embellish the center of my flower I've used a Funhouse Candy dot. Super simple but really cute!

Another thing I always make sure to do is to send out thank-you cards after birthday parties. I usually try to keep the same theme that we had at the party :) To make this quick card, I printed out a computer generated sentiment and used a large circle punch to cut it out.

Another few candy dots and some stitching and you're done! Easy peasy :)

I hope I've inspired you to add some cute touches to your child's next birthday party! I really think it's a nice gesture for your guests, and one that they're sure to notice!

Supply List:
Patterned paper - Donna Salazar, Animal CrackersMaterial Girls
Funhouse candy dots

{august GCD kit}

Hey guys! I was excited to be chosen to work with August's kit over at GCD Studios - and I think it was a great one!

If you want to enter the contest over at the blog, check out this post. Entries have to be in by August 22nd, so get on it! ;)

The first layout I made was with a picture I took of Keira last winter at the children's museum.

I've been meaning to do a layout about Keira's tricycle for a while now! She got it as a gift for her 2nd birthday and she's still not quite sure about it....

This bicycle paper from the Funhouse line is perfect for this page!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Only a 4 day work week for me this week...so I'm counting down the days :) See you soon.

{chatterbox}

Just realized I forgot to share my latest layout over at Pencil Lines for sketch 249!

Got a few boxes of new goodies from 2Peas the last few weeks, so I took that opportunity to mix and match some new product ;)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a good one ;)

{silly girl :)}

Another Pretty Little Studio layout tonight :)

Keira is such a goofball - I get the funniest looks from her when she's sitting back in her carseat :)

I'm sort of loving the 8.5x11's for a little change-up ;)

{pretty little studio projects}

Hi there! I thought I would pop in tonight and share a few projects that have been up on the Pretty Little Studio blog the past few weeks. Unfortunately the website went down and the blog was deleted, and Melissa has been working really hard trying to get everything back up! Please send good thoughts her way :)

First up I have a layout about Keira wanting me to take her picture. She's too cute ;) This was based on a sketch that Melissa provided, so if you want to play along - check out the blog. Everyone that participates in the sketch challenge during the month of August gets a $5 gift certificate to the store!

Next up is a card I made based on this week's inspiration photo.

I used one of my new Sizzix dies to create the flower from patterned paper ;)

The new Scaredy Cat collection is available now for pre-order! Ships September 3rd. You'll want to check this one out, it's very cool! I love all the bright colors and images. And there are new shipping tags! Can't wait to use this line on my Halloween photos from last year ;)

Thanks for your visit! Have a great night!

{still here!}

Yep, it's me! I'm still here ;) Had computer problems for what seems like forrrrrrever, but things seem to be working smoothly again! I just wanted to pop in tonight and share a quick layout I made for Amy Heller's Scrap Your Scraps challenge over on her blog.

I really love this challenge because I can't throw away little bits of paper and I save them all up in a pile so I can make more things with them ;)

I am kinda loving the My Little Pony obsession. It's cute ;) And she really does line them up on the coffee table like that. So funny!

I've got to get to bed after the day I had today at work - phew! Be back tomorrow with some more projects to share.
