{cookies!}

I have a page to share with you today about making cookies ;) Keira was just so dang excited a few weekends ago when I told her we'd be doing this. I used the new Crate Paper paper heart collection.

I wanted to mimic the sprinkles and cut out cookies on my layout, so I cut a heart out of waxed paper (2 layers) and then stitched them together, leaving a small opening. I put in a bunch of confetti, buttons, etc and then stitched it up. It makes a great accent for the page!

I also used my new (old) typewriter for the journaling and again with the JBS tab punch.

Thanks for stopping by!

{more PL}

I'm back today with another couple pages of project life ;)  I am finding that I really love this project, but I have yet to get into the "groove" of it. It's still taking me awhile to finish each page but I think with time I'll get quicker. I used one of Shelley's flair buttons on this page - check out her shop here. She has the cutest badges ever!

I think one thing I definitely need to do is get all of my labels and cards and little embellishments together in a bin so I can pull it out whenever I want to work on this. Here I've used some SC sticky notes, also some sticky notes from Cavallini and Co, as well as some SC kraft stars and my new JBS tab punch. Love it.

Here's another button from the Camera Flair set. I'm loving the SC wood veneer shapes for this project too.

I also think I need a larger collection of washi tape. But by seeing what's coming out after CHA I don't think I'll have a problem with that!

The next page was about back to work after New Years weekend. I used some Crate Paper, SC, mist and thickers.

I also included some thank you notes we'd gotten from Christmas.

Instagram and my iPhone is a lifesaver for this project. Otherwise I don't think I would have any pictures. lol.

Are you doing Project Life? What's your biggest challenge? I'll take any tips I can get :)

And here's the newest addition to my scraproom. Actually I've had it for awhile but finally brought it over from the old house. Adam's aunt Karen gave it to me awhile back because I wanted to use it for my scrapping but I just hadn't had time to look for any replacement ribbon! I went to staples yesterday and they had the correct ribbon, but it was on the wrong size bobbin. So I rewound it on the original and voila. Typewriter. Woot!

{gcd sneaks}

I was really lucky to be able to make some layouts for the GCD booth at CHA this year ;) Here are some peeks at my layouts. This first one uses the new Bonjour collection. I love the teal, green and brown in these papers.

Next up, I used Heidi's new Oh Happy Day collection to make this layout. I love the girly colors in this line!

Here is the Splendor collection. I think this is my favorite :-) Lots of woodgrain, grey, teal and coral. Love it.

This collection is called Sweet Tooth. Perfect and girly.

I used the Country Charm collection for this layout. I just love that star patterned paper.

Last but not least, the Flower Child collection. I think this one unexpectedly is growing on me with the bright colors!

Can't wait to show you the full layouts. Have a great weekend!

{sugar cookies}

I have another Pretty Little Studio layout to share with you tonight! I had a lot of fun making this page and it came together rather quickly ;)

I started out with a piece of gray cardstock, misted with a little of Studio Calico's white mist. I stitched strips of patterned paper around the outer edge, then pieced together tags and more patterned paper.

The papers went perfectly with the winter-y theme I had in mind :)

I've decided not to re-apply for the Pretty Little Studio design team this term as well. I've had a great year there! Melissa, Mary Jo and the rest of the team have been awesome to work with, but I've got this to look forward to.

We're having another baby! Due in August :) The countdown begins!

Have a great evening.

{lyb projects}

Hi there! One of the lines I got to work with last month for the Scrapbooking Studio was the Little Yellow Bicycle school line. Because I have a little girl, it was nice to work with some boyish colors for a change! I misted this Maya Road chipboard book with Glimmer Mist before adhering my paper and embellishments.

I had a LOT of fun making this book! Mini books are outside my comfort zone but for some reason this was fun :)

I also made a layout with this line, and thankfully my friend Maranda gave me a picture of her son to scrap. Keira doesn't have any school pics yet!

Have a good one!

{trying it out!}

Sooooo, I decided awhile back that for 2012 I am going to try project life! I am not pressuring myself to stay "caught up" with it at all. That's not my style of scrapping. What i really want it to be for is a place to catch all those little bits of life that are otherwise lost. Everyday photos, memorabilia, etc.

I'm thinking it's going to be an awesome way to use up my stash too. If there's one thing I learned about moving it's that I have way too much scrapbooking stuff!  Lord.

Confetti pocket idea courtesy of Lisa ;) Oh and btw, check out her blog if you need some AWESOME project life inspo.

Here's the title page for this year.

On the backside of the title page, I used some photos of NYE. And my Silhouette! loving this thing.

I used an Elle's Studio journaling card along with some new Crate Paper.

I really love that my iPhone can take silent pics because otherwise Adam would so harass me for taking these pics at the restaurant :)

{a few projects}

Hi there! I have a few Pretty Little Studio projects to share with you tonight ;) For this first layout, I had fun with my new Silhouette Cameo. I used it to cut out the 'hello' circle, as well as the polka dot white background you see.

We've had slim pickings for snow photos this year! I had a few from the first snow and so I used those.

For the confetti on this layout, I used a circle edge punch that I have and punched a variety of papers. I brushed a thin layer of Mod Podge on the cardstock, then sprinkled the confetti on and pressed it down lightly.

For my next project, I made a thank you card using the Jingle Bells line.

Thanks for stopping by! This week sometime I'll have a project up with the new Winter Wonderland line - check it out, it's a good one!

{look alike}

{presents!}

I hope you had a great Christmas! We sure did here, Keira was really excited and got waaaaay too many toys ;)

I had a few days off around the holiday so once all the toys were put away I had the chance to scrapbook!

I used a mix of October Afternoon and Bella Blvd. Those Maya Road wooden snowflakes are my favorite too!

I also got to play with my new Silhouette Cameo! I love this thing, it's so cool. The 'presents' die cut is actually an Ali Edwards file I purchased from designer digitals, then used the trace function in my silhouette software to make it a cut file. Ali has a video on her blog for this technique if you're interested.
