{almost 3}

I had a nice surprise in the mail last week - a copy of Scrapbook Magazine (a UK publication) - in which this layout was published. Thanks to Anna Bowkis at the former Pencil Lines for organizing this :)

I used a mix of Pebbles and American Crafts on this layout.

Have a great night!

{thankful}

Here's a layout I did awhile back with some new Dear Lizzy papers. I love this line :)

{catching up on project life}

Back in January, I had decided I was going to do project life for this year. I got about 3 weeks in and stopped! Recently I started to dive in again. I'm not interested on catching up on the weeks that I missed, so I'm just going to start fresh again now. This layout is one that I had about half done from January, so I thought I would finish that page out.

Shelley's flair goes perfectly with project life. There are so many styles to choose from, on this I've used a day of the week flair.

My instagram photos are my primary pictures when I do project life. I also use the app Momento to keep track of what happened on which date, and it also pulls in my Facebook statuses so I can use those too.

Here I've used another day of the week flair, as well as some of the new Studio Calico wood veneer that I'm pretty addicted to :)

Love these two - Sherbet star flair and Insta Love Flair!!

Here I've used two newer sets - Linen Chevron and Hexagon Love flair.

Thanks for stopping by today! I'm going to try to work on my project life a little more today :)

{fathers day card}

I'm not sure about you, but on Father's Day around here, a lot of the dads get gift cards! Mainly because it's hard to buy for someone who has pretty much everything they need ;) Today I've made a little tag, sack and card set you can use to hold your next gift card!

I thought the Bonjour collection would be great for a masculine project. The greens, blues and browns paired with the plaid pattern are awesome!

For accent, I used a few wood embellishments along with chipboard letters in colors that worked with these papers. Star punches are great for masculine projects too!

I know some people can have problems making cards for guys, but my advice is to keep the design simple and add just a few embellishments that aren't too girly or frilly. If you don't have a stamp with the sentiment you need, get creative with your computer and letter stickers!

For the inside of the card, I created a little pocket for my gift card to go into. You'll want to use some strong adhesive, such as Scor-tape, or you can even stitch the pocket on with your sewing machine.

Thanks for stopping by today!

{ a few GCD layouts}

I wanted to share up close photos of a few layouts I had in this month's issue of The Paper Cut. The first one was a lace assignment. I used my silhouette to cut out some lacy borders, then layered them at the top corner of my layout.

For this layout, I used the Splendor collection.

For this next layout, I used the Oh Happy Day collection. Love the bright colors in this one.

Also used my silhouette on this one to cut the large butterfly and the sun shape.

Here is the newest issue of GCD Studio's The Paper Cut. I have a few projects in there, and the whole magazine is really fabulous! Check it out.

{chin up buttercup}

Hi there! Jennifer here, and I'm excited to share my first project as an official member of the Flair for Buttons design team :)
Chin up
A few weeks ago, my three year old broke her collarbone after she fell off a swing, ouch! But she's feeling much better now. I wanted to make a page about it while still fresh in my head. Here I've used a piece of flair from the Noted collection. I was also sneaky and took one of my daughter's stickers she got after her x-ray to use on the page....hehe!

The 'today' flair is from one of my favorite sets - Word Flair. I am in love with the simple words and ledger pattern in this set.

For the title of my page, I've used a Basic Grey tag, but I thought it needed a little extra something. I added a piece of Chevron Sherbet Flair to finish it off.

{scrapbooking studio projects!}

Today I'm sharing a few projects I did for The Scrapbooking Studio using the Paradise line by Little Yellow Bicycle. This card was super easy with just patterned paper and a few embellishments.

Here's a mini album using a Maya Road clear album, along with papers and embellishments from the Paradise line.

Here's a layout I did using Paradise, as well as some Silhouette cuts, a MME wood butterfly, and a doodlebug card.

This was my favorite project of the month. I did a kraft on kraft background using my silhouette to cut polka dots out of one of the pieces. Along with the LYB goodies, I also used some Maya Road kraft doilies.

Thanks for stopping by!

{right now}

So this year for Mother's Day I asked Adam what he was getting me. He tells me to pick out something nice. Ha! So anyway, I went over to 2Peas and got myself the Maggie Holmes Pieces of me class & kit. The kit is really gorgeous and has an awesome exclusive stamp. Before the class even started I got my kit and made a 12x12 layout.

I'm still not sure if I'm going to do a mini book like the class demonstrates, or do 12x12 layouts.

 I tucked my journaling inside one of the vellum envelopes that came in the kit.

{a flair for buttons}

I know this post is coming a bit late, but I am really excited to be a part of the DT at A Flair for Buttons! Shelley has been working really hard to come out with some awesome new flair, so definitely check out the shop....there's even Instagram flair I can't wait to get my hands on!

Here's a sneak of my first project:
It'll be up on the blog Wednesday. As you can see we have a little one with an injury - hence my behind-ness lately ;)

Have a great night!
