{hello big feet}

I had Shelley send me the Dude Flair set from A Flair for Buttons before Connor even came into the picture. I knew I needed some boy themed product on hand! I love this set and used three pieces of it on this page about our newborn son's inherited big feet ;)

The best part is that I still have that chevron button in my stash to work with ;)

Also on this page, I used some printables from Studio Calico, the new October Afternoon Woodland Park letters, and my new love, the Kikkerland arrow paperclips :)

Funny story, we went out of town today looking for some size 15 sandals for Adam, and ended up paying $95 for the only pair we could find!! Sheesh.

{echo park everyday eclectic - the scrapbooking studio}

I was really excited to work with Echo Park's Everyday Eclectic line this month for The Scrapbooking Studio! First up I created this mini album with an Echo Park chipboard mini book. Here are some photos of the inside. {funny story - I was actually working on the cover of this album the night I went into labor, so rudely interrupted! lol}

I love the way the tabs pull out on this mini, makes it much more fun and interactive!

Here is a quick card I created with the line as well. I made a sunburst pattern then stitched the edges with a zig-zag stitch.

The cloud and the 2012 flair is from A Flair for Buttons.

On this layout I used my Silhouette for the triangle and hexagon cutouts.

All the supplies to make these projects can be found at The Scrapbooking Studio!

{designer take: scrapbook circle}

Today I'm sharing a layout I did with the August kit from Scrapbook Circle. I think this turned out to be my favorite layout this month!

The product focus was on the American Crafts neptune paper - the yellow one. I cut out the center circle and stitched around the pattern to define it.

{august issue of GCD Studios - The PaperCut}

Hi there! Today I'm sharing a few projects that I made for the August issue of the PaperCut for GCD Studios. You can click HERE to read the whole issue, there is some great summer inspiration there!

My two assignments had to do with showcasing keepsakes on a project. For my scrapbook layout, I wanted to include the tickets from the dinosaur exhibit at the museum.

I used one of these cute chevron treat sacks to hold a tag with my journaling and the tickets.

I also made a shadowbox with Connor's first ultrasound picture. This was super easy to make, I just picked up a 8x8 shadowbox from Hobby Lobby and used some GCD patterned paper to create my mini layout.

{texture & numbers!}

Hi there! Today I'm going to show you how to add a little texture to your page...along with some numbers. When I chose this assignment I knew exactly what I wanted to do -- scrap about my nephew's birthday party last month.

Since the boys were turning 1 and 4, I went ahead and cut these numbers out with my Silhouette using paper from the Bonjour collection.

I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder to add texture.

Since I thought they needed a little contrast to stand out, I adhered them to blue cardstock and trimmed the edges.

Also using papers from the Flower Child collection, I die cut and punched stars to embellish the bottom of the page.

To finish off the layout, I used some machine stitching and added a banner to the top of the page. I hope you'll try this technique out sometime! It would be great with letters and titles too.

{the scrapbooking studio}

I'm happy to announce that I will be joining the team at The Scrapbooking Studio for another term! It really is the greatest store around :)

Here are the other ladies on the team:

Stacy Rodriguez (DT Coordinator)

{introducing connor andrew}

Connor was born on Friday 8/17 at 6:20 am. He is a big boy, weighing in at 9lbs 10oz! We came home yesterday and so far he has been a perfect little baby, even letting me get a good night's sleep last night!

Keira has been very excited to help out with him. She has been a little more whiny than normal, but I think that is just her getting used to not being the center of attention anymore ;) I'm excited to have some time off work to spend with these two.

{teresa collins sweet afternoon - the scrapbooking studio}

Last month for The Scrapbooking Studio, I got to work with a beautiful line by Teresa Collins, Sweet Afternoon. I love the colors in this line, they are fantastic!

I used some other things from the store, Studio Calico mistables, America Crafts delights, and of course my Silhouette Cameo -- now available in the store! {Photo on this layout is by Mississippi Pearl Photography}

I had fun using my Cameo for this page too!

Since we are in full-on baby countdown around here (my due date is next week, lol!) I made a few baby boy projects. I used some of the blue and yellow papers to create this card.

I think these woodgrain chipboard Thickers I picked up at the store are my new favorites ;)

For my last project, I decided to make a decor piece for Connor's room. I used a chipboard letter negative, backed with patterned paper and embellished with some of the Teresa Collins line as well as Bella Blvd Baby Boy.

Thanks for stopping by! I'm excited to be visiting the store tomorrow to meet Leah and pick up some new October Afternoon goodies that I've heard have hit the shelves :)

{enjoy today - scrapbook circle}

Hi there! Jennifer here, sharing a layout with the August True Stories kit. I loved the Fancy Pants woodgrain paper in this kit and used that as a background and starting point for my page.

Another thing I did on this layout was to change the focal photo to black and white. There were a lot of bright colors in the photo and I didn't want them to compete with the papers.

The printable this month is awesome! Here I used several of the elements to embellish my page. The My Mind's Eye brad pack is perfect to finish off a project too.

Hope you've been inspired to get your kit out and create some summer layouts!

{around the campfire - scrapbook circle}

Today I'm sharing the layout I made for the sketch challenge at the Scrapbook Circle blog. Check out the link to see what the other designers did!

As soon as I saw this little snippet from the Elle's Studio tag sheet about a campfire, I knew I had to make a page with the picture I had of Keira eating a s'more ;)

Thanks for stopping by! I used the August kit - True Stories for this layout. Hope you'll participate in the sketch challenge!

{so ready - flair for buttons}

So ready (2)Hi there! I have a layout to share with you today....and if you've ever been pregnant in the summer, you'll understand the point of this page! ;) Right now we are expecting baby number 2 and my due date is August 24th.....right around the corner, but it sure has been a hot one!

On this layout, I used 3 pieces of Flair. The 'always' is from the Word Flair set, the heart from the Girl Flair, and the star is from the Colored Stars set.

So ready (3)I used a mix of patterned papers on this layout, including some cuts from the new Basic Grey Clippings line. I thought the 'date due' cut was particularly fitting!

So ready (1)Thanks for stopping by today! And be sure to check out the Flair Shop -- Shelley has added a ton of new flair, including SMASH flair, lots of Halloween flair (that I can't wait to use!) and some really cool new ombre chevron flair. Have a good one!
